What services do you offer?

We provide a complete range of professional pet care services, including dog walking, pet sitting, home visits, feeding, comfort breaks, and cleaning up after your pet. Our goal is to ensure every pet is cared for, happy, and safe while you’re away.

How do I book a service?

You can book directly through our website, by phone, or by email. We’ll confirm your booking and arrange a convenient time for a free meet and greet if needed.

Do you offer a meet and greet before the first booking?

Yes! We always provide a free meet and greet to get to know you and your pet. This helps us discuss your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special requirements before care begins.

Are you insured?

Absolutely. Tanya’s Pet Service is fully insured for pet care and key handling, giving you peace of mind while your pet and home are in our care.

What areas do you cover?

We proudly cover Basildon and the surrounding areas, including nearby towns and villages. If you’re unsure whether we can reach your location, please contact us — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Your pet’s safety always comes first. In extreme weather (such as heavy rain, snow, or high temperatures), walks may be shortened or rescheduled. Your pet will still receive a comfort break, attention, and indoor care if needed.

How do you handle emergencies?

If an emergency occurs, we’ll contact you immediately. If we can’t reach you, we’ll take your pet to the nearest vet and act in their best interest until you can be reached.

What if my pet has special needs or medication?

No problem! We’re experienced with pets that require medication or special care. Please provide clear instructions during your booking or meet and greet, and we’ll make sure your pet receives exactly what they need.

Do you walk dogs off the lead?

We only walk dogs off-lead with written owner permission and once we’re confident in their recall and behaviour. Your dog’s safety is always our top priority.

Will my dog be walked with others?

We offer both solo and group walks depending on your dog’s personality and preferences. Group walks are small, carefully matched, and designed to keep all dogs comfortable and happy.

How do you keep my keys safe?

All keys are securely stored and labelled without personal details. They are only used to access your property for agreed services.

Do you send updates while I’m away?

Yes! We love sending updates. You’ll receive photos and messages after visits or walks (if you wish), so you can relax knowing your pet is content and well looked after.

What are your cancellation policies?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

Can you clean up after my pet?

Of course — cleaning up after your pet is always included. Whether it’s litter trays, food areas, or walk waste, we make sure everything is tidy and hygienic.

How do I pay?

Payments can be made by cash, bank transfer, or other agreed methods. Payment is due before or at the time of service unless otherwise arranged
